Our Iowa City Spring Hunt

2. Promotion Overview

The Our Iowa City Spring Hunt (the “Promotion”) is a seasonal no-purchase-necessary sweepstakes connecting Iowa City residents with locally owned businesses. Participants may visit partner locations and complete short in-store missions, or enter for free online each week without visiting any business, for a chance to win weekly gift card prizes and one final season prize.

The Promotion runs from April 15, 2026 at 12:00 AM CDT through May 15, 2026 at 11:59 PM CDT (the “Promotion Period”). The season is administered through the weekly entry windows listed below.

Sponsor may suspend, cancel, or modify the Promotion if fraud, technical failures, or other factors beyond Sponsor’s reasonable control impair the integrity of the Promotion. Any material change will be posted at ouriowacity.com/rules.

3. Eligibility

The Promotion is open to legal residents of Iowa who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Employees, officers, directors, agents, contractors, immediate family members, and household members of Sponsor, participating partner businesses, and any person directly involved in administering the Promotion are not eligible to enter or win.

Void where prohibited. By entering, each entrant represents and warrants that they meet all eligibility requirements.

4. How to Enter

There are two ways to enter. No purchase or payment is necessary to enter or win. Each valid entry carries an equal individual chance of winning in every drawing for which it is eligible, regardless of entry method.

4A. In-store entry

In-store entry allows up to one (1) base entry per person per participating business for the season. Each valid in-store base entry is eligible for the weekly drawing associated with the week in which it is submitted and for the final season drawing.

1. Visit any participating Our Iowa City partner business during the Promotion Period. No purchase is required.
2. Scan the Our Iowa City QR code sign displayed at the business or visit the business-specific link at ouriowacity.com/hunt.
3. Complete the short mission shown for that location.
4. Submit one of the following as evidence:
   • A clear, original photo taken on-site showing completion of the mission. Instagram is never required.
   • A public social-media post URL showing completion of the mission. Any social-media-based evidence must visibly include either #OurIowaCitySweepstakes or the phrase Entered in @OurIowaCity sweepstakes on the post itself.
5. Submit the form with your full name, email address, required evidence, and confirmation that you agree to these Official Rules and acknowledge the Privacy Notice.

Limit: one (1) in-store base entry per person per participating business per season.

4B. Free online Alternative Method of Entry (AMOE)

To enter for free online, visit ouriowacity.com/enter during any weekly entry window, complete the form with your full name, email address, and Iowa state-of-residence confirmation, and submit it. Limit: one (1) AMOE entry per person per weekly window.

Eligible participants may use both the AMOE and in-store entry methods during the Promotion Period, subject to the separate limits that apply to each method.

4C. Weekly bonus entry

Select partner businesses may be designated as bonus businesses during specified boost weeks. A participant who submits a valid in-store entry for that business during its designated boost week and includes the correct in-store code word earns one (1) additional weekly entry for that week’s drawing only. Limit: one (1) bonus entry per person per designated bonus business per boost week. Bonus entries are not available through AMOE.

5. Prizes

Weekly prize: one (1) $25 Downtown Iowa City Gift Card awarded during each weekly entry window. Approximate retail value (“ARV”): $25 per weekly drawing.

Final season prize: one (1) $200 Downtown Iowa City Gift Card. ARV: $200.

Total ARV of all prizes: $325.

Prizes are non-transferable and may not be redeemed for cash except where required by applicable law. Sponsor may substitute a prize of equal or greater value if a listed prize becomes unavailable before winner confirmation. Winners are solely responsible for any applicable taxes.

6. Odds

Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received for the relevant drawing. No purchase, payment, donation, or business transaction increases the per-entry odds of winning.

7. Winner Selection and Notification

Weekly winners are selected by random drawing from all eligible entries received during the applicable weekly window. The final season winner is selected by random drawing from all eligible season-long entries. The final season drawing will take place on or about May 18, 2026.

Potential winners are notified using the email address provided at entry and must respond within seventy-two (72) hours. Sponsor may require winner verification, including eligibility confirmation, identity confirmation, evidence verification, tax documentation, or additional releases as permitted by law.

8. Verification and Disqualification

Sponsor may verify, review, and reject any entry in its sole discretion. Entries may be disqualified for exceeding entry limits, providing unverifiable or misleading evidence, failing to include the required visible sweepstakes disclosure on a social-media-based entry, submitting false or incomplete information, or violating these Official Rules or applicable law.

Without limiting the foregoing, entries may also be disqualified for using automated, scripted, macro-assisted, bot-assisted, synthetic, fabricated, AI-generated, or materially AI-edited content that misrepresents personal on-site mission completion.

By entering, entrant confirms that all submitted information is truthful and complete; the entrant personally completed the mission associated with any in-store entry; the entrant owns the submitted content or has all rights necessary to submit it; and any recognizable person appearing in submitted content has granted any permission required by law.

9. Content License and Publicity

By submitting in-store evidence, entrant grants Sponsor a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, display, repost, and share submitted entry content on Sponsor’s website, email newsletter, and social channels solely in connection with the Promotion, winner announcements, and related promotional uses for Our Iowa City for the duration of the Promotion Period and up to twelve (12) months thereafter. Entrant retains ownership of the submitted content.

Except where prohibited by law, acceptance of a prize constitutes the winner’s consent to Sponsor’s use of the winner’s name, city of residence, social handle, and submitted content for promotional and announcement purposes without additional compensation.

10. Privacy and Data

Sponsor collects entrant information, including name, email address, optional social handle, uploaded evidence, and consent metadata, solely to administer the Promotion, contact entrants and winners, verify compliance, maintain required records, and, if separately elected, send newsletter communications. Sponsor does not sell entrant information.

11. Iowa Attorney General Records

Pursuant to Iowa Code section 714B.5, Sponsor will maintain records of confirmed winners of prizes valued at $100 or more for one (1) year following the end of the Promotion and will provide those records to the Iowa Attorney General upon written request made within that period.

12. General Conditions

By participating, entrants agree to release and hold harmless Sponsor, participating partner businesses, and each of their respective officers, directors, employees, contractors, and agents from and against any claim, injury, loss, or damage arising out of or relating to participation in the Promotion or the receipt, use, or misuse of any prize, except where prohibited by law.

Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, illegible, misdirected, corrupted, or technically malfunctioning entries, uploads, networks, platforms, or communications.

These Official Rules constitute the entire agreement between Sponsor and each entrant with respect to the Promotion. If any provision is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.

This Promotion is governed by the laws of the State of Iowa, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to this Promotion shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in or serving Johnson County, Iowa.

13. Instagram / Meta Release

This Promotion is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram or Meta Platforms, Inc. All questions or complaints regarding the Promotion must be directed to Sponsor, not to Instagram or Meta.

14. Winner List

To request the name of a confirmed winner, email hello@ouriowacity.com within sixty (60) days after the end of the Promotion Period. Sponsor may also announce winners on ouriowacity.com or Sponsor’s official social channels after verification.
