Event Guidelines

We feature events that are useful to local readers, especially those tied to independent businesses, arts, culture, neighborhood life, and the kinds of plans people are genuinely likely to make.

  • Open to the public or broadly useful to local readers
  • Submit at least three business days before the event; we review qualifying submissions within two business days.
  • Hosted in Iowa City or nearby
  • Supports or features local businesses/culture
  • Includes an exact local start time and an official source link we can verify

Example: 6:00 PM or 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Example: Free, $10, $5-$15
